High-performance electrolyte materials
OS3® is a high-performance electrolyte additive material that improves cycle life, reduces gas generation, reduces impedance growth and reduces calendar aging of Li-ion cells.
OS3® has been shown to:
- Improve performance of silicon-anode cells by reducing gas generation.
- Enable cycling of lithium metal anodes.
- Improve the life of lithium-cobalt oxide and high-nickel cathodes by inhibiting cathode transition metal dissolution.
- Enhance high temperature performance of cells by stabilizing LiPF6 salt in carbonate solvents.
